World Championships visitors can experience the fun and excitement of the competition outside of the arena as well as in as we take the hype into the heart of the city.
For the five days of the Championships Cathedral Gardens will be transformed into Championship Square.
Here you can find an array of FREE activities, provided by the Championship sponsors, to add an extra dimension and additional entertainment to your visit to Manchester and the World Championships.
The Square will also feature a dazzling array of musicians and bands representing the diversity of Manchester music, as well as some hilarious, swimming-inspired street theatre.
The Van Dunk Brothers will perform their award-winning, dry land synchronized swimming display and the Fairly Famous Family Lifeguards will attempt to impose the timeless values of the municipal baths onto the World Swimming Championships!
Musical styles will range from the jazz related Cuban, Brazilian and funk sounds from bands such as Descarga, John Ellis and the Palm trio, to the best of Manchester's singer-songwriter scene with Lucy and the Caterpillar, Josephine Niyama and Alexis McLean.
There is even something for fans of bluegrass, steel band and a'capella music and all of the entertainment is totally free.
