UK swimming clubs are being urged to book group tickets for the 9th FINA World Swimming Championships by the end of the month for a chance to win special training time for their club during the Championships.

Every club making group bookings of ten or more per session between 12th May and midnight on the 31st May will be entered into a special competition.

Clubs answering all the questions correctly will then be entered into a draw and ten lucky clubs will get their hands on exclusive ‘swim-time’ at the Manchester Aquatic Centre.

Former World Swimming Champion James Hickman who is heading up the PR for this event says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs to get the chance to train in the world famous Manchester Aquatics Centre, the very venue in which so many great medals were won in the 2002 Commonwealth Games.”

The 9th FINA World Swimming Championships will be held at the M.E.N Arena from the 9th to 13th April 2008 and it promises to be a swimming event like no other the UK has ever seen.

Project Director Peter Knowles says: “Two huge temporary pools are to be built in the world’s busiest concert venue. It’s going to be quite something and we’re determined to turn it into ‘sporting theatre’ like never before.

“UK swimming clubs won’t want to miss this event and now we’re giving them an extra incentive – a chance to train for 90 minutes in the fabulous Manchester Aquatics Centre, a pool that’s been graced by the likes of Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett.”

The winners will be announced on June 20th. Terms and conditions and available below.
